Secure Cross-Platform Reach
With support for SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) over SSH 2.0 (Secure Socket Shell), WS_FTP Pro 7.6 guarantees the confidentiality of sensitive business data during the access and remote management of files on legacy systems (running on UNIX as well as on Windows servers).

Streamlined Automation Control
WS_FTP Pro 7.6 boosts web management productivity via a series of improvements in the Synchronize utility

• Easy configuration screen allows creation of simple or complex synchronization operations
• Increased flexibility with support for remote/remote synchronization
• Visually compare the sync operation before actually transferring with the ability to view the files that will be synchronized rather than viewing a log (in previous versions)
• Location configuration now allows synchronization between local-to-remote and remote-to-remote (previously supported local-to-remote only)

Dial-up Convenience
WS_FTP Pro 7.6 integrates dial-up management within the FTP connection process, so that once you start an FTP connection it automatically dials up to connect to the Internet.
Once closed, the dial-up session is automatically terminated, as well. Users no longer need to wait for a large file download so they can terminate their dial-up session, or even shutdown their computer.

Accelerated Downloads
WS_FTP Pro 7.6 enables you to accelerate the download of large files by implementing multi-part downloads to maximize the use of your time and increase productivity. This is particularly effective when downloading large files from an FTP server that limits bandwidth per connection. In that case WS_FTP maximizes bandwidth utilization and increases performance. The Multi-part download feature allows WS_FTP Pro to split a large file (recommended for file size over 1MB) into multiple parts and use multiple transfer connections to download those parts simultaneously. These parts are recombined into a single file upon receipt.

Example: users maximum bandwidth is 150KBps, and they connect to FTP server with a bandwidth limit of 50KBps per connection. In this case WS_FTP Pro raises the total throughput by 300%!

Seamless Per-user Profile Protection
Once WS_FTP Pro has been installed a new user doesn´t have to run the installation program again to set up a per-user installation. This happens automatically and thus removes the hassle and time to run a per-user install in order to protect user´s own site profile data, including password.

Auto Resume & Auto Retry Options

• Auto Retry: Allows you to define the number of automatic retries for failed downloads to increase your chance of a successful transfer.
• Auto Resume: Automatically resume or restart interrupted or failed transfers if any session is terminated involuntarily (ex. broken connections, application closure, computer shut down, or interruption of power). Once WS_FTP Pro is restarted it automatically reconnects and completes the interrupted transfer.
