Helix - The Future Proof Platform For Universality and Digital Rights Management Helix is the ninth generation of digital media software from RealNetworks. With Helix, businesses are able to create a comprehensive solution for content creation, secure delivery and playback. This session will focus on understanding the key features and benefits of the Helix Solution and include case study examples of Helix implementations.

Early Afternoon Business Breakout Session
Beyond the PC: Reaching Your Audiences 2003 will be a benchmark year for the growth of premium content services. This seminar will summarise the opportunities as they exist today, explain the obstacles and challenges, and explore the role RealNetworks is playing to facilitate the delivery of content anywhere, anytime and to any device.

Early Afternoon Technical Breakout Session
Helix Server Overview We will begin with a technical overview of streaming and then move quickly into Helix product details. An overview of the Helix Universal Server, an understanding Helix Gateways and Proxy Servers as well as an overview of the Helix DNA are three key areas we will focus on. We will also cover advanced topics such as splitting, broadcast redundancy and multicasting.

Later Afternoon Business Breakout Session
Building Revenue through Paid for Content How do you turn your digital media assets into a revenue-generating business? Do subscription services really work in Europe? This session will explore the various business models, such as ongoing subscription services as well as pay-per-view services.

Later Afternoon Technical Breakout Session
Content Creation and Authoring This session will include live demonstration of content creation using the Helix Producer. We will explore and demonstrate different ways of creating and presenting streaming audio and video via the RealOne player. We will also walk through technical considerations when creating content and cover areas such as bandwidth, DRM and Codec choice.
